Rusty’s Big Surprise!

to afford a trip like this! We are so thankful for the precious people
in our lives that helped make this possible….your love and generosity blessed us so much!
If you’re not our friends on facebook, then you’re probably still wondering what Rusty’s big surprise was! I wrote in the last few blogs that Rusty had been scheming for a while, planning a surprise trip for our 1 year anniversary. It took a week to finally find out the full surprise!
The 1st thing he told me was that we were leaving for a week, and to pack for FUN, SUN, & WATER!
I didn’t find out anything else until we arrived at the airport. There, he revealed the BIG SURPRISE!

I found out when we landed that we weren’t staying in Orlando, but at Ormond Beach instead! Later, I found out we were staying ON the beach, in a condo all week! (This is another big deal! I LOVE the beach, and haven’t been to one in at least 2 years! It is definitely something I miss a lot, living in freezing cold Michigan!) And finally, he told me he was taking me to Silver Springs, a beautiful park in Ocala (the area he grew up in from age 7 – 14!)
We had an AMAZING week – full of laughter, rest, fun, new experiences together, and trips down memory lane. I can’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate our 1st year of marriage together! Thank you Rusty for being such a wonderful husband to me!

Rusty came here a lot as a kid (he lived in Florida for 7 years.)

We got to feed the giraffes! I was SO EXCITED! I’ve been on 3 safaris and
every time the giraffes have been so far away. These were so cute!
I thought this llama was SO pretty and wanted to feed her. Right after she took
a bite, she sneezed RIGHT IN MY FACE! BLAH! GROSS!!!
haha – that video was awesome. heck – Chick-fil-A too!??! i want to get married! 🙂
