Sending them out…
I left work last night to the sound of worship. Beautiful songs poured out of hearts in love with their Creator. Their worship tuned their hearts to Him. Their songs expressed their love, gratitude, and desperation. But more than that, their songs asked Him to come – to go before them, and to go with them.
The worshipers are more than just singers- they’re warriors. And they left today to take the world! It has been an amazing sight to see their eager faces for the past two weeks, as they’ve prepared to go. These 75 young men and women have embraced the call to GO- for 1 month, 3 months, 9 months, or a year overseas to serve. They have put their agendas aside, they have said goodbye to family and friends, they have packed their bags and left behind the comforts of home, and they have said YES LORD!
“Here am I, send me!” – Isaiah 6:8
Today, these men and women left for Peru, Swaziland, Mexico, Dominican Republic, England, India, South Africa (Johannesburg, Jeffrey’s Bay), and Kenya. They left to love the unloved, to give hope to the hopeless, to touch the forgotten – they went out to find the least of these and to tell them about the love of a King. They are servants, worshipers, and warriors, and they are going out to fight for the hearts of a lost and dying world!
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” – Mark 16:15
God has big plans for these amazing men and women, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see what He has in store! To those of you going- I am SO proud of you, and so blessed to be connected to what you’re doing. It has been a JOY and a PRIVILEGE to get to know some of you- I am so thankful our paths have crossed! I encourage you to go with expectant hearts, allowing God to move in you and through you in ways beyond what you can fathom!
