How to GIVE to immediate needs in HAITI

Many of you have been moved and broken by the videos, pictures, and stories from Haiti. Now you are wondering how to help, what to do and how to give.

Our leadership at AIM has been diligently working around the clock the past few days, trying to find ways to help. They are making long term plans to send in missionaries on short term projects and through The World Race in the coming months and years. But they know that more than anything, the people of Haiti need help NOW.

So, 2 teams are going this week. One team is leaving Wednesday (they will have a nurse joining them too), another on Thursday. Many of them have served in Haiti before and have a huge heart for the people there.

If you would like to help them, you can GIVE according to the instructions below.

Your money will be used for immediate needs this team will be meeting like food, water, blankets, and clothes. (We have reports that people came into the hospital for treatment with only the clothes on their back. When the doctors cut the clothes off to treat them, they were left with NOTHING! They are walking around NAKED in the hallways with nothing to cover themselves with. I can’t imagine that kind of vulnerability.)

To give to those immediate needs, donate by following these instructions:

  1. Go to this direct link to give: https://www.adventures.org/give/donate.asp?giveto=worldrace&desc= (this is also accessible by going to www.theworldrace.org and clicking on the “Donate” tab on the homepage. Hit the button that says, “click here to give!”)
  2. Once
you’re on this page, change the program on the drop-down menu to a
“World Race Project.” A new box will appear, for a description of the
project. Please have supporters put WR HAITI as the name of the
    Project.

In addition to financial support, all these teams will need a special
covering of prayer. Pray for safety. Pray for open doors and clear
communication.
Haiti has always been a spiritual battleground as
well. There is a war in the heavens for this nation and our teams will
experience it firsthand in the coming week.
