A support update & BIG NEWS!

God has been teaching me so much lately! I have several blogs in the works right now that I’m excited about sharing with all of you in coming days, but first, I thought I should give you a little update on my support raising and share my big news with you all!

SUPPORT

Support raising – what a challenge. It remains a struggle for me, but GOD IS FAITHFUL! Though I didn’t reach my target deadline of May 15 (to be fully supported), I still trust God and know that in His perfect timing the money will come. PRAISE HIM that He has been at work. I’m now at 56%. THANK YOU to all of you who have partnered with me in this ministry! It’s a blessing to have you as supporters – ALL OF YOU – whether you are giving financially or praying. (What a priceless gift your prayers are!) It is so great to know I’m not doing this alone!

I am still looking for monthly supporters – even $10 a month is a blessing to me. And to those of you who have given one time gifts – I am also SO grateful to you! They really do help SO much! (If you’re reading this and would like to give, just click here: Support Me!)

It has been incredible to see the people God has already raised up alongside me to help me live out the work He has called me to do. I’m encouraged by each and everyone of you, and so thankful God has blessed me with such a loving, supportive community in my life. Please pray with me that God will meet the rest of my financial needs as I serve with AIM. I know I am exactly where I’m called to be, and that He will sustain me!

BIG NEWS!

Now I have some exciting news to share with you all… I’M GOING BACK TO AFRICA!!! I apologize for not telling you all sooner – but with my support raising struggles the details were all in question. Praise God that He worked it all out and has provided a way for me to return!

On May 26, it will be a year since my first trip to Africa. Since the day I came home I’ve been praying fervently that God would allow me to return to the place and the people that I fell in love with. My trip to Swaziland is the reason I’m at AIM now – because of the thousands of beautiful orphans there who captured my heart and who I couldn’t bear to forget. They are God’s call on my life, and I’ve been waiting for the day to come when I could return and hold them in my arms again.

That day is coming soon! PRAISE GOD! I’ll be leading a team of students to South Africa June 8 – July 2, and then I will return for a precious few days to Swaziland (July 3 – July 12). I’ll give you more details about exactly what I’ll be doing while in Africa in my next blog, but until then, please pray God will prepare me for the work He has called me to do, for my health, for safety in travel (and while I’m there), and for His help getting everything done here that I need to do before I leave.

Thank you, as always, for your prayers, support, encouragement, and love. I couldn’t do it without you!

With a grateful heart,
Ericka <><
