A Missionary’s Life :: Baby Giggles

Just a quick Friday Update for you guys…. it’s been a busy, busy week and we are going out for a double-date with some friends in a few minutes (whoo hoo!) But I didn’t want to forget to post this!

My cousin Heather (also known as “Heddy Rae” to me and most of our family, because that’s the only way she could say her name growing up) came to visit this week alllll the way from Alabama! She brought along her husband Chris (who is from Michigan) and their sweet kiddo Michael.

Michael has an extra special place in our hearts because we found out he was “on the way” on the night before our wedding at our rehearsal dinner! It was the first time Heather had seen her parents in person since she found out she was expecting (she lives in Huntsville, they live in Oxford) and she leaned over while we were all eating and slipped her mom a picture of the sonogram. Cue the screaming and hugging! We were SO EXCITED!!!

Let me tell you, this kid is WAY too cute! The picture above doesn’t do him justice because he isn’t smiling or laughing….. you are missing out on some of the sweetest little dimples I’ve ever seen! And his blue eyes – what a heartbreaker! He was wonderful – laughing and smiling and flirting all night! He only cried once – when our waitress didn’t bring him breadsticks to chew on fast enough 😉

Here’s a glimpse of his giggles from some photos taken a few months ago. Check out the picture on the far right. He has only gotten cuter with age! 😉

We all had a great time together catching up. Heather and I grew up together (seriously, we lived like a half-mile away from each other most of our lives) and I don’t get to see her enough. We’re so lucky she married a guy from Michigan who brought her here to visit his family! Thanks Chris! 😉 Of course we don’t see baby Michael enough either….since we live so far away, this is only the second time I’ve seen him! I couldn’t believe how much he’s grown up!

Good thing I got in enough baby giggles to last me for a while! I’m convinced there is nothing in the world sweeter than hearing a little one laugh!

That’s all we’ve got this week – hope you all have a Happy Friday!
