We still have some personal updates for you to get you all up to speed on us, but today I’m taking a break to update you on something MUCH more important! Please read the information below to find our how you can bless the women of Swaziland! (and watch the video- it’s incredible!)

From Julie Anderson, an AIM missionary in Swaziland:
NEW LIFE: WOMEN’S CAMP 09

“NEW LIFE” is the theme for our women’s camp THIS WEEKEND:  June 12-14. After getting a new glimpse yesterday of the death that so often
surrounds these women, I’m getting really excited about God is going to
do during our weekend focused on LIFE…true life found in Jesus. The
camp will hopefully have close to 80 women in attendance, including the
40+ women from Nsoko who just started sewing for Timbali last fall.
This will be the first time all of the women have been together and
they are excited for the opportunity.

We still need more donations to help cover the cost of the camp!

The cost for each woman will be around $25.
IF YOU’D LIKE TO DONATE TOWARD THE COST OF THE CAMP you can do so through the AIM website:

(Choose Swazi Craft Co-op in the drop down menu.)

See the video below for an intimate glimpse into these women’s lives. I watched it today and was so humbled by their circumstances. The women of Swazi face the harsh realities of AIDS, rape, abuse, alcoholism, and death daily. Please lift them up in prayer this weekend as they draw near to God!

One response to “NEW LIFE”

  1. So, I went to the conference the first night to help out (and yes, I was the only guy in the entire place). Anyway we played an ice-breaker game with the ladies that involved handing each one a card with an animal on it when they walked through the door, then making them stand up and get into their animal groups without speakingthey were only allowed to make the noise of their specific animal.

Seeing those gogos baaa, moo, and croak like a frog while mingling around with each other was nothing short of hilarious.
