Crying for Swaziland…
In my last post, I was praying, “God break my heart for what breaks Yours.”
If you didn’t already know this-
GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS.
The past couple of weeks my heart has been breaking all over again for orphans around the world, and specifically for the people of Swaziland. I’ve found myself yet again immersed in the blogs of World Racers, sitting on my bed as tears streamed down my face at the injustice of it all. I cried with World Racer Lindsay Stahl (who is in Swaziland right now) as she shared her stories. I cried for this precious little boy named Ndudusi whose arms are literally rotting off because of the snake bites he endured. I cried for the 26 year old woman, Dudu, who is dying of AIDS and TB. I cried for her 4 month old little boy, Snethemba, who will soon be an orphan.
I cried, and cried, and cried. I’ve fought the helplessness of knowing that right now, I can’t do anything to fix it. I’ve let the life expectancy of only 28.7 years sink in again. I’ve let the beautiful faces of the orphans take over my heart and mind.
The situation is HORRIFIC. And all I can pray is- God help us help them. God continue to break our hearts.
Below is a video from one of our World Racers who’s out on the field. I pray it breaks your heart today. If you feel led to give and help – just click HERE.
