I’m taking a quick break from packing up before I hit the road again (I can never stay still these days, ah my crazy life!) to update you all after my last post requesting prayer. First of all, let me just say-
THANK YOU!
Thank you to all of you who responded in prayer, and with so many encouraging words! I knew it was the enemy keeping me from posting that at first, no doubt Satan didn’t want me to be encouraged and prayed for by all of you. I’m so thankful I was obedient and vulnerable, and so thankful for the ways you all ministered to me! You are each blessings in my life!
God has shown up these past 2 days in amazing ways. My schedule is still crazy, and I have to realize that sometimes everything doesn’t get done. (I am not perfect, no surprise there, and sometimes I need to be reminded I can let some things go!) A lot did get done though, and more is still in progress. Some of it I’ve just had to “let go and let God” – I know He will come through for me when my own power and knowledge is insufficient.
In the midst of this all though, the greatest thing I’ve seen is TRUE COMMUNITY. I’ve caught glimpses of it throughout my life, but never have I been saturated in it the way I am at AIM. That community really came through for me this weekend. Whether through a hug, a prayer (or a lot of them), rebuking lies from the enemy, or tangibly pitching in to help me in one of the many projects I’m working on – my community stood up and said “We’re your family, and we’re not going to let you handle this all on your own!”
It was beautiful. It was SO NEEDED. Satan already had me beginning to spiral into the defeated mindset of “I’m all alone, and I have to do this all alone.” My community shattered that lie! PRAISE JESUS!
So this is just a quick note to say THANK YOU to all of you for being my community – those here I can see and touch, and those prayer warriors far away who read my blogs and encourage and lift me up in powerful ways. THANK YOU! Please continue to pray. The enemy hasn’t stopped with the attacks, and I need as much prayer covering as I can get! But – I am encouraged that he is attacking, because it is confirmation that God is using me in powerful ways, and that God has big plans for me waiting in the future!
Thanks too for your prayers for safe travel as I hit the road – I’m headed to Nashville today for the week. Why? Well, actually, it’s a pretty exciting reason! And I’ll tell you ALL about it tomorrow… stay tuned!
