So much to say but not much time – so
here’s a quick update:

The Taj Mahal was INCREDIBLE – absolutely
amazing, and we loved our trip… that is until we both got really sick. Me first
(once you throw up in another country, does that make you a “real” missionary?),
and then Lynette – who managed to get a terrible case of bronchitis and
whatever virus I had too… I was feeling pretty rough all afternoon, night, and
the next day (not good for 2 days of traveling in India traffic), but poor
Lynette was in bed out of it for pretty much 3 days.

No worries though! We survived! After
tear-filled goodbyes at the orphanage (I promise to post more pictures and
videos from there later), and the team house (it was so hard to leave the girls
behind! We love and miss you already!!!) we headed out for the 2nd
half of our trip…

Though Lynette is not quite 100% from
bronchitis or the virus and I’m still fighting off a cough, the warm weather is
a welcome change from our freezing cold house! We are staying in a BEAUTIFUL
home in Rajamundhry (tropical climate! It’s hot and humid but after the cold
we’re so thankful!) and we have amazing hosts and hostesses here. God has really blessed us!

Things we’re thankful for:

Warm weather

A beautiful house (we still
can’t believe we’re staying here!)

Electricity that doesn’t go off
multiple times a day/night

Less polluted air

Not living in the slums
surrounded by trash heaps

No mice in the house (only lizards. I can
handle lizards.)

A “real” bathroom with a “real”
shower

Hot water (for the first time in
over 2 weeks)

A “real” toilet that flushes (and
being able to flush our toilet paper! YAY!)

A bed (no more sleeping
bag/sleeping pad!)

Amazing food

Internet! (though we’re still
not home much to use it)

The wonderful people we’re
staying with and serving with!

I’ll
tell you more about the set up here and how we’ll be serving at an evangelism
conference, school, and orphanage, but until then…

Prayer Requests:

Please pray for continued healing for us
both, and for renewed strength and focus. I’m already starting to feel a little
overwhelmed with everything I’ve seen and experienced and everything I need to
do once I get home. Please pray God will help me focus on where He has me here
and now. Pray also for our safety, for God’s blessings on this home and on all
the pastors who are coming for this conference, and for God to move in powerful
ways and for many to come to know the Lord!

And until I post again, here’s a little
something fun to keep you entertained! Introducing, my FABULOUS ROOMIE!

(and get ready for some hilarious
out-takes!)
