We made it! After 18 hours in the car and two stops to see friends and family (and rest), we finally made it to Monticello, AR! Thank you so much for your prayers for our safety. We arrived tired but safe, and had no car issues (praise the Lord!)
We are recuperating from our 2 travel days today, spending time with Rusty’s family, and trying to set up a couple more events for The Sound of Hope. While we do all that, I thought I’d leave you with a fun blog 🙂
Some friends of mine do a thing called “Top 8, Bottom 4”. It’s a cute way to explain what you love/hate about….well…. pretty much anything! It’s been awhile since I’ve done one, so I thought I’d throw some thoughts out there about our support raising trips down South. Here goes…
TOP 8 ::
1. CHICK-FIL-A!!!! (I swear this stuff is straight from Heaven 😉
2. Spending time with our families (whom we don’t see enough of).
3. Spending time with our friends (whom we miss terribly).
4. SWEET TEA!
5. Spending time with the wonderful people who support us and thanking them in person.
6. Sharing about our work and our vision with new people.
7. Visiting our college towns (last time we got to go to Auburn, this time we’re going to Fayetteville.)
8. The opportunity to raise money so that we can continue doing the work we are called to do, and also to raise money for the precious children we love so much!
BOTTOM 4 ::
1. Having a schedule so busy that by the time we get home we’ve completely lost our sanity.
2. Packing/repacking/living out of a suitcase.
3. Eating so much fast food/cheap food/fried food/junk food that we feel like crap by the end of the trip.
4. Not getting to see everyone we want to see, no matter how hard we try!
