For those of you who don't follow our blog regularly, Rusty was hired by our church this year to do part-time video work. He LOVES video work more than anything else... using his gifts to tell someone's story truly makes him come alive. He's really good at it too! Of course he has lots of experience shooting, editing, producing, and anchoring/narrating pieces from his days in TV, but this year he's been committed to sharpening his skills even more. He has mastered Final Cut Pro (a professional editing program for Macs) and has been learning FCP's "extra" programs like Color (which improves, matches, and corrects color issues) and Motion (which can add text and all sorts of special effects, graphics, etc).

All that may sound like gibberish to you, but as I've assisted him in shooting and offered ideas in the editing process I've realized just how impressive his work is! I'm so proud of him for working so hard to sharpen his skills and improve his videos. I love that he loves to learn and is constantly trying to make himself more knowledgeable about video work! Plus, I've really enjoyed helping him with some of the shooting and with adding music to his pieces. We make a great team :)

Unfortunately this job ended recently because of the bad economy up here (though he may do another story on a volunteer basis). We have been so thankful though for the income it's provided and for the opportunity for Rusty to get paid for something he LOVES to do. Below are his two latest videos. You can watch them here, or you can go to CCchurches.com (which is what I would recommend). This is the new (incredible looking) page on our church's website that features Rusty's videos telling our church members' "God Stories". Please check them out! They will increase your faith and remind you that God still fulfills His promises!

Maura's Story

Rusty is especially proud of this story - it took a LOT of extra time and attention but it was worth it! Maura has led an incredible life, including time in a convent, time in the Navy, getting married in an orphanage, and raising twins as a single mom. Hear her story of how God was faithful through it all....

Tanya's Story

This is actually Part 2 of Tanya's Story (Part 1 can be seen here.) She has walked through two abusive relationships and a horrible custody battle, but she's learned through it all that God keeps His promises!
